My Top 3 Tips For More Online Leads

Let me get straight to the point. In 2016 the business landscape is changing, but you simply cannot get distracted. You still need that life blood that is a steady stream of quality leads for your business.

So to help I wanted to share my 3 best pieces of advice to help you generate more leads from your existing website:

1. Create a video for your home page and your product / services pages

65% of us are visual learners. Why not explain your offering in a way that speaks to the majority?

From working with 100’s of clients and testing video vs non-video landing pages, we have seen conversion rates go up by an average of 27%.

When done right, videos keep us engaged and can inspire us to take action.

Your videos do not need to be long or complex, just sit down and talk about your business and your product / service.

2. Blog consistently (actually do it)

We know by now that blogging is effective for showing your thought leadership and credibility. In turn, if done right it will also help generate targeted enquiries.

In spite of this, many great companies do not have consistent content calendars and many give up when no results come in the first month or two.

One of my clients was struggling to drive traffic and sales through traditional advertising.

So they put together a content calendar for six months, blogging every single week. Six months later, organic traffic had doubled.

…but remember, once you’ve built up the traffic to your blog, your job isn’t done. Your readers have self-selected as being interested in what you have to offer, but they’re not yet on your list.

Make the next step easy for them by adding relevant CTAs (Calls to Action) to your blog posts. If a reader is interested in a blog post, chances are they’ll be interested in the info pack or eBook as well and willing to enter their email address in exchange for it.

3. The notorious pop-up!

After months of testing we have now added Pop-up’s to our TrailBlazer strategy for ALL clients. – Yes that annoying thing that pops up asking if you would like to access the eBook after you have been on a web site for 10 seconds.

I know people do find it slightly irritating, but we simply cpuld not argue with the results. Across to board for our clients it has created a 20% uplift in lead generation, which is you add that to the 27% for the on page video’s, we are seeing a great return for a few small changes.

To back up using this tool, in a case study on the AWeber blog, a niche website tested a sidebar alongside a pop-up signup form. Over the course of seven months, the pop-up collected 1,375% more subscribers.

If you’re going to test this out on your own site, here’s my advice: at the very least, make your pop-up look nice and make it easy to exit out of if the visitor isn’t interested.

…but they do rocking in the world of visitor to enquiry conversion!
